Will these HSE Technologies become common by 2030? is the industry moving towards it??

The objective of this post is to brainstorm and share thoughts on the future of HSE standards with regard to Smart Tools and Equipment's. With the integration of Technologies like IoT with HSE a new trend is expected to take over in less than a decade, possibly resulting drastic decline in the Accidents.

Importance of HSE and concern towards employee safety has improved over few decades. With developed countries having the highest standards of HSE and developing countries following the trend. Though the present standards sometimes seem to be inadequate, however we need to acknowledge that standards have improved over few decades. Dont agree? Look pictures below.
Pic 1 - This worker takes a break 30 stories above the New York city streets.
Pic 2 - These 4 men are hoping to pass a test to get jobs as painters at the Brooklyn Bridge. Their first task was to climb to the top of one of the pillars. An estimated 27 workers died during building the bridge.

Organisations like ILO-International Labour Organization , OHSA ,HSE UK  worked as driving force in establishing international standards.
In the past 10 years Information technology has evolved at a rapid rate and is made available to common man across all countries.

Considering the awareness of Technology and availability of affordable safety equipment's we are very near to an era where the HSE implementation could possibly take  an interesting turn.

Effort has been made to list out few of the possible and already tested tools and systems where advanced technology is considered for HSE implementation.

These are few to start with ,however there can be many more already implemented. As an HSE professional i believe it is very important that we keep up with the up coming trends and upgrade ourselves to excel and contribute effectively to our roles as HSE professionals.

Have you come across these tools already ? What will be the possible challenges in implementing such systems? Request you to provide your valuable ideas and comments. Pleasure to have you read through this blog..
